I currently have a pair of Pakistani bells which have been on Sasha since trapping on Sept. 29th and one has already broken a big piece off and the other is not far behind. My sponsor recommended counce bells and if you get them from the source they are only $15 a pair. I just ordered some and will give a report once she has them on and then I will update as appropriate.

I've never even heard of counce bells? Are they like a two-tone or an acorn style?

two-tone reinforced butt joint equator style bell. www.councebells.comMy sponsor has used them for years and says that they hold up like the highest top dollar bells. I told him that I bought pakistani and he laughed and said I'd be sorry for wasting my money on them and he was right. Counce bells are only six dollars more and according to him they hold up for a long time and are really loud.

That's like bells made by Ricardo Velarde here in Utah. He's a phenominal equipment maker. I've used his bells and hoods exclusively for 22 years but he stopped making falconry equipment 2 years ago so he could make knives instead. Some of the bells I have are about 18 years old and are still in perfect condition and as loud as if they were still new!

Only ordered a couple of hours ago and already got an e-mail for a confirmation number and tracking number. Way to start, maybe we should add this guy to the board.

Northwoods doesn't make bells, they buy them from bell makers and resell them at a higher price, same with the hoods and perches. Try to find an actual bell maker and buy directly from them to save a lot of money!

I made a Retailer Board for Counce Bells so people can give their experience about them.
